CCS Advisory Council
As Crossroads Community Services is part of First United Methodist Church of Dallas (FUMC), we do not have a Board of Directors, but rather an Advisory Council. The CCS Advisory Council works with the CCS Director and Staff to develop programming, policies and procedures.
If dramatic changes in the operation of CCS were proposed, such as opening a second location, that would require approval from the Senior Minister and the Church Council of FUMC. The Church Council acts as an oversight committee for all ministries of the church in that they approve any new major initiatives or termination of ministries, and Church Council ratifies the unified annual church budget. The Mission Outreach Advisory Council (MOAC) is responsible for non-CCS local outreach as well as national and global outreach efforts. All congregation members are invited to MOAC meetings.
