Summer Groups
CCS clients, volunteers and staff have been blessed with help
from many student volunteer groups this summer.
FUMC Dallas Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School 5th and 6th graders from First United Methodist Church in Dallas
spent some time each day of their VBS week working at CCS. They hung clothes,
sized shoes, attended clients, and helped clients who were shopping for groceries.
It was great to have them as in years past.
Parish Episcopal School

Nicole, Katy, Erika, Kyle and Alex are students at Parish Episcopal School who participated
in a 2-week long summer class called Service Sampler in which 9th and 10th grade students volunteer at a different agency each day to learn about the agency and how it makes a difference
in meeting the needs of our community. On June 15th we were fortunate to have them at CCS, helping clients shop for groceries, hanging clothes to be distributed and
generally helping out in lots of ways.
Mission Possible - Catholic Diocese
Mission Possible is a program of the Catholic Diocese for youth starting in middle school
to spend a week in the summer, visiting and serving at a variety of social service agencies
in the Dallas area. On Wednesday, June 16, a group of 11 young people from Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Plano spent the day at CCS and The Stewpot, learning of the work both agencies do, helping in the clothes closet of CCS and making Birthday Bags for The Stewpot.
First Baptist Church of Dallas

First Baptist Church in Dallas sends a group of middle school students to CCS each Wednesday as a part of their Helping Hands program. In addition to CCS, this group volunteers each week
at Cornerstone Baptist Church in their food pantry and clothing room.
Thanks to all of these awesome groups!
You truly make a difference in the lives of our neighbors-in-need.
Check out some other groups of volunteers who've helped at CCS recently!
